The Travelling Ookpik - Day Four!

The travelling ookpik has arrived in Los Angeles!

The day's drive (and there was a lot of driving) started bright and early, and choked with San Francisco fog that was thicker than jellied brains!

However, outside of San Francisco the fog cleared up as Chimo drove up to the famous Winchester Mystery House!

In the parking lot, Chimo paused to appreciate the primary coloured vehicles conveniently clustered together.

A born and raised Canadian, Chimo is still enamoured by California's palm trees.

Chimo even attempted a little (palm) tree hugging.

The outside of the Winchester Mystery House is marked by more plaques and signs than any house (mysterious or otherwise) could ever possibly need, but Chimo appreciated and admired every one.

Then Chimo paused for a photo with the house itself! It should be noted that the Winchester Mystery House has a respectable 160 rooms, so this photo represents barely a sliver of the home.

After finishing the tour of the Winchester Mystery House, it was back on the road, where our intrepid ookpik witnessed the 2000th kilometre of our trip!

Not much else was achieved in Chimo's day (aside from accomplishing the monumental task of driving all the way to Los Angeles), but it must be noted that our favourite ookpik has not yet gotten over the novelty of beer and wine for sale at gas stations. What a nation!

Tomorrow: It's difficult to say, but there's a good chance an adventure to the most magical place on earth is in store!
