Today Chimo departed on the first leg of his adventure- starting from Vancouver, BC, driving through all of Washington State and arriving this afternoon in Portland, Oregon. Here are some highlights from the journey!
Before crossing the American border, Chimo grabbed a final bite of Canadiana and enjoyed a TEAM CANADA doughnut from Tim Hortons. Was it delicious, Chimo? (Answer: yes. Yes, it was.)
After crossing the border, Chimo stopped in at a Washington State rest stop where free coffee was had by all!
Afterwards Chimo stopped at Tulalip Casino for some quick gambling.
Once Chimo crossed the state line into Oregon he stopped for lunch at Blitz in Portland for a blue cheese, fried onion and back-bacon (alternately known as Canadian bacon) burger! Afterwards Chimo visited Powell's Books.
Now Chimo is settled in to watch the Olympic opening ceremonies. A fantastic first day for everyone involved!
