Today's highway travels took Chimo for Portland, Oregon all the way to Redding, California! Here are some of the hijinks our little ookpik got involved in.
Most of the day was "driving great distances of road" oriented- so the majority of Chimo's day's was spent appreciating Oregon's tax dollars at work. So many miles of majestic road cones!
Shortly after crossing the state line into California Chimo witnessed the 1000th kilometre of our road trip! Chimo celebrated this achievement with a super-saturated photograph.
Once in California, Chimo took a short pit-stop in the small town of Weed, where entirely too many immature jokes were made (if only we'd rolled in at 4:20. Am I right?) and nobody was amused.
Arriving in Redding, Chimo made a pit stop at the Liquor Barn, where a bottle of Kraken Rum was purchased. (author's note: part of the reason I came to California was in pursuit of Kraken rum.) Once returned to the hotel, Chimo settled in for a stiff (delicious) drink and some more reading from 'Timbit Nation' (which was purchased at Powell's Books yesterday in Portland).
